My name is Andrew V.Volkogon. I has finished the school number 28-th in 1997. in Donetsk city (Ukraine).
After leaving the school I has entered in Donetsk Polytechnic Institute (now Donetsk National Technical
University). At the moment of creation this page I am the student of the fifth rate of faculty of
"Computer Facilities and Computer Science".
Area of my interests: OS Linux, applications development for Internet/intranet (Perl/Shell/C/Delphi3), security of computer systems and networks. There are two OS installed on my home PC: ASPLinux 7.1 and Windows ME. Linux works 90% of time, and perfectly consults, both as a workstation, and as a server/gateway for the home local area network, which uniting three houses (4 computers). And in the others 10 % of time I have to load WinME for write the program for Dos/Windows, or for work in MS Office. What is involves in Linux? Sooner or later any programmer, is asked a question, "how all this works?", but the structure of graphic OS provides the user friendly interface, and practically inaccessible internal system. In Linux there is not so simple in use, but all is very precisely structured, and applications maximum floppy in adjustment. In general people for the different reasons come to Linux, some of them: there is no necessity to pay hundred $ when it is possible to receive the same productivity at the minimal expenses (naturally all legally), high stability (among Web servers dominates FreeBSD 40.34%, Linux 33.19%, Windows NT 17.89%, Solaris 3.93% other 4.65%), and certainly thirst of knowledge (tens thousand students worldwide put this OS on their desktops, and will carry out tens hours behind their studying; in Germany, for example, clubs of Linux fans are organized at restaurants and cafe:-)). Security today the most important factor at construction of networks or adjustments of servers. So, the subject of my master's works is "Explore security systems of computer networks". In it I plan to investigate a protection system in network devices and OS, methods of realization of intrusion and develop complex security audit system of computer systems or a network as a whole. In 1998-1999 I worked in Donetsk the State University (developing a training application and a database in Delphi3). Since 2000 and on present time I work as the system administrator in a private organization, and also I carry out private orders on adjustment of computer systems and application creation.
