About Myself

I am Shvindya Maxim. I was born on October 2, 1979. Since 1983 I live in city Konstantinovka of Donetsk region. In 1996 I has completed school ¹1 and by results of rating tests was enlisted in DSTU into a speciality " Intelligent computer systems and networks ". At the moment of a writing this page I am living in Donetsk. I live in a hostel ¹2, room 455.

I am compelled to work, because I have heavy financial statement. My job is "Sniko" Co.,Ltd (Special scientific researches and designing of the equipment). A kind of my employment is different: from development of printed-circuit-boards up to a building of the applications for Windows.


Choice of the Speciality

Why have I chosen this speciality? Certainly, at school I was interested in computers. I had graduated UPK in a direction "the operator of the computer", wrote the programs outside of an educational rate. Probably, I would go on PO, but I had not my own PC and I doubted that I shall cope. And prevalence of training to programming and as result the large competitiveness in the future not so involved. Our speciality favourably differs in this sense. And the complete title rushed in eyes: " Intelligent computer systems and networks ". That time it still referred to as "intelligent", however for years of my study in institute this word has disappeared from the title of a speciality somewhere. Probably this misfortune happened after one of numerous checks (have detected non-conformity), taking place for this time. After so native born change in the name of any significant changes during preparation of the specialists on our faculty has not taken place, so that alien readers should not think that earlier speciality corresponded to the disappeared word more.


About Study

That sometimes unpleasantly amazes during studing, so it is general illness of our system of education - accent is done not on transfer of knowledge to the students, and on the control of this knowledge. Far to go behind an example it is not necessary. At the first lecture at the course, within the framework of which we write these pages, to us have arranged the begin control on those questions, the answers on which we just and came to receive. And as against the usual begin control in other subject this knowledge in any other course did not read to us. And in current of a semester the overwhelming majority of the information should be learned by independently roundabout ways. Well, then what for institute? Unless normally to supersede lectures by control interrogations? Whether it is better to transmit more information for fulfilment of laboratory works to save our time and forces? If the certain requests to fulfillment by the students of the tasks are exhibited, unless it is not necessary to grant a means to their fulfillment?

Questions without the answers.

The above mentioned defect of system is shown during session. Frequently it happens, that weaker student receives the same estimation, and that and better, than other, obviously better aware student. All business in skill to write off. And as the examination estimation is final, is received, that they have identical result upon termination of institute. Certainly, after acceptance on work it will be visible, what "expert" he is, but nevertheless.


Prospects of the Speciality

In my opinion our speciality directly has 3 basic practical interconnected applications:
  1. Development of the integrated circuits.
  2. Designing the universal and specialized systems, devices and computers.
  3. System software.
By and large all 3 directions is mentioned by my labour activity.
