Autobiography
Shaternik Pavel Valerievich.
I was born on October 23, 1979 in Zaporizzha (Ukraine) in a family of a
military officer. Until 1979 lived in Zaporizzha and finished the first
grade there.
From 1986 till 1987 I lived in Kryvy Rih (Ukraine) and from 1988 till
1992 - in Krasnovodsk (Turkmenistan) on the Caspian Sea coast. It was
namely there that I first made my acquaintance to computers - the
well-known "Spectrum 48K" series.
From 1992 I lived in Donetsk (Ukraine) where I finished secondary
gymnasium and entered the faculty of computing in the Donetsk State
Technical University by taking the first place in maths competition
had been held by the University. Then I received the bachelor's degree.
In 1999 I have begun working for "Street TV Co." My career within
the company started in Donetsk, however in March, 2000 I was appointed
to move to Kiev, into position of the Kiev Central Affiliate, in which
I am situated till the present moment.
On September 30, 2000 I have got married Olga Lomtsova and that is all
that now I can tell about myself.
About the "Street TV":
The main direction of work of the company is prîviding the so-called
TV-bridges. The company has its affiliates in all the oblast (reional)
centers of Ukraine. "Scattered" all over the country are 50 SATV mobile
stations. The central studio is situated in Kiev. It is the very place
from which all the bridges and connections are dispatched and managed.
The main feature of distinguish of the Street TV against traditional
television is that our stations work right in the streets of cities.
This is the point that gives people opportunities to communicate directly
to each other, being in different cities, or to a guest in the central
studio. In every of the engaged cities, exept for technical means of
communication there is specially casted and trained personnel, whose
preparation and knowledge differ so much from ones of journalists for
the reason that our staff is to work with large (sometimes half a
thousand or more) amounts of people, remember every speaker, direct
the communication within borders of theme, build and maintain communicaton
either between particular people or cities of Ukraine.
The most outstanding example of work of the Company for the present
moment is the TV-bridge with the President of Ukraine, held on
November 20, 2000 - a day before I have written this text.
